Anna
university has released the counselling dates, rank list 2017 at
official website tnea.ac.in or annauniv.edu. The Anna University random
number, counselling dates & rank list is also to be released today. Anna
University is likely to issue Random Number for BE Applicants on June
20. The candidates can check the list from the official website:
www.tnea.ac.in, www.annauniv.edu, once it is released. The ranking list
will be released on June 22, 2017. The Anna University Counselling will
commence from June 27 and will end on July 31. The college for 1st years
of Anna Univeristy will commence from August 1.
According to the semester examination rate Anna University has
published the first 10 colleges in the list of engineering colleges. The
engineering colleges which have made a mark under Anna University as
per percentage include Indian Institute of Handloom Technology,
Salem- 94.74, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research,
Coimbatore- 94.65, VSB Engineering College, Karur- 93.47, Ramco
Institute of technology, Virudhunagar- 92.67. 2,269 of the 2,489 exams
were selected from the Chennai Institute of Technology, Chennai, and
4,163 in the 4,609 exams at the Engineering College. These two colleges
have been ranked at the top 10 in the first ten seasons of 2012.
Similarly, Tiruvallur Velammal Technical College is ranked 9th.

It is important to note that there are 2.7 lakh seats available in
523 Tamil Nadu colleges. As per the official website Tamil Nadu
Engineering Admission (TNEA) is the process through which more than 1.5
lakhs Engineering students can get themselves enrolled into Engineering
Colleges of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions through Single Window
Counselling. As per the Anna University ranking, The Indian Institute of
Handloom Technology in Salem has the highest number of students passed
in the November-December semester exams of 2016 with a pass percentage

At present, there are more than 500 non-autonomous colleges
affiliated with Anna university. For the Tamil Nadu Engineering
admissions, applications are invited for the unified single window
admission for first year B. E. / B. Tech. Degree Courses to the
University Departments / Constituent Colleges of Anna University,
Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges and for the seats
surrendered by the Self – Financing Engineering Colleges. The candidates
should register and apply only through online by logging on to
https://www.tnea.ac.in The guidelines for registration are available in
the above web portal. It is also important to note that the filled-in
Online Application shall be downloaded and the printed copy must be
submitted either by post or in person to, “The Secretary, TNEA, Anna
University, Chennai – 600 025,” along with all the required enclosures
